Dianna & Nathan's Wedding

A little over a week ago, we drove up to Iowa for Dianna & Nathan's wedding. Kylee was so excited to see Dianna. She was like a magnet to Dianna the whole rehearsal.



Kylee fell asleep during the wedding as soon as Josh started the ceremony! She hadn't had a nap that day, and her Daddy's voice must have just put her to sleep!!



We were here in Ottumwa for Mother's Day morning and then headed up to my sisters in Minnesota Sunday night.

Kylee's big girl bedroom

Kylee didn't actually get a new bedroom, just different bed, sheets, comforter, & some pictures. She loves it. I refinished the bed and was rather happy with how it turned out. I used to help my dad do stuff like that when I was little, but this was my first project on my own. The down comforter and duvet cover came from Ikea, the sheets from Wal-Mart, and the poster and picture frames from Dollar Tree. I spray painted the frames all the same white and put calender pictures in them.

Kylee & Me

Kylee and I were playing in her "new" bedroom yesterday and I was taking some pictures. This was such a great one of her that I thought I'd put it on here. We put her toddler bed away and gave her my old twin bed that I had when I was in high school. I need to put a couple more pictures up on her walls and then I will take pictures and put them on my blog. I'm really excited with how it is turning out.

Fire station visit

Joshua took Kylee and Gracie to the fire station a few days ago. They were so excited and had been talking about seeing the firetrucks for days, but were suddenly shy when they got there but finally warmed up and had around in the firetruck. A friend from church is a fireman at that fire station and he let them turn the lights on, etc. They weren't in the picture taking mood, but Joshua was able to get one of Kylee.

National Day of Prayer

Last night a few of our kids from church sang at the National Day of Prayer event in Crowley. They did a great job. If you look close, you can see Kylee wedged in the middle of all the kids!

Crawfish boil

We went to a crawfish boil at a friend's house last night. I enjoy the potatoes and corn while Josh enjoyed the rest of it! Kylee tried the crawfish but after a taste, she decided that she wanted a hot dog instead.

Kylee found the 4-wheeler and climbed on it by herself.

Tabby & Michelle took her for a ride which she throughly enjoyed.

New umbrellas

Kylee and Gracie both have new umbrellas. Gracie brought hers with her yesterday so they could play with them. They would say, "It's raining" and would open their umbrellas. They they would say, "It stopped raining" and would then closing them. They did this over and over. Great entertainment for them. It sprinkled some yesterday, so I took them outside so they could use their umbrellas in actual rain.

Crop duster

The crop dusters have been out a lot lately around here. I guess some people find them annoying when they fly over your house all day, but Kylee thinks it's great fun and I don't mind them at all. I was outside a couple days ago painting our outside trim and it was flying right over our house so I got to snap some pictures.
