Table set for three

Joshua was having Kylee help him set the table and he told her to make sure that the plates were were a chair was. Next thing I know, she is moving the chairs. She wanted us all to sit on the same side of the table. Ahhh!

Easter Pictures

My friend Desi brought her two girls (Kylie Jo & Maddie) over to my house this afternoon to take pictures of them and Kylee in their Easter dresses. A neighbor a few houses down the street had a couple absolutely gorgeous flower bushes and he said that we could take the pictures in front of them.

Easter Sunday

Here are a few pictures from yesterday at church.

Kylee Paige & Kylee Jo

Will's Home

Will (the groom from the wedding that Kylee was in) came back for a couple of weeks before he is deployed. Kylee was so excited to see him.

At the Park

I am watching Gracie today and we met a friend at the park who has a daughter Kylie Jo who is Kylee & Gracie's age. They had a marvelous time.

Easter Egg Hunt

Yesterday afternoon, they had an Easter Egg Hunt at church for the little kids. She was excited to go find eggs especially when I told her that they had candy in them. She got quite a few because she had 3 helpers!
Here is Noah (he is the 2 weeks older than Kylee) and Gracie. They were just too cute. I love their expressions.

Gracie's 3rd Birthday

I took Kylee to Gracie's birthday party on Saturday. It is so cute to see them together. They have their moments sometimes, but over all, they love to be together.

Silly girls

New Faucets

I not sure how old our bathroom faucets were, but it was time to replace them. One of them couldn't be turned off enough and it just dripped half the time. Kylee always enjoys trying to help her Daddy while he is fixing things. We need to get her her own set of kid tools, because pretty soon she might actually be able to help!

Kylee.....in the cabinet

Kylee informed me that the doorknob needed fixing.
Good thing she was there to do the job.

The completed project (in one of the bathrooms)

Nap Time

Nap time......such sweet words. They bring a smile to my face. Not that I don't enjoy Kylee while she is awake, but I do need some time to myself during the day to rejuvenate.

Kylee and Gracie were playing "nap time" the other day. A rather amusing game to play for 2 year olds, but they seemed to enjoy it!

Ahhh, the real thing! There wasn't any pretending going on here. They were so cute that I just had to sneak in and take a picture.

Helicopter Ride

We were at the mall the other day and I let Kylee take a ride in the helicopter. The ride didn't last long enough for her, but she was happy anyway for the little amount that it lasted.

Fajitas

Fajitas were on the menu for dinner last night, so yesterday I cut up my chicken, onions, and green peppers to marinade. I usually buy the fajitas seasoning mix. Well, I had forgotten to pick that up last time I was at the store, so I decided that I might try to make my own. I found a few recipes online and ended up trying one of them. The seasoning was quite simple to make and the fajitas turned out quite tasty.

Fajita Seasoning Mix

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paparika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or pinch of cayenne, to taste)
  • Directions

    1. Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container.
I added about 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1/2 cup water to the mix and then added it to the chicken to marinade.
