We're a Family!

I was sitting on Josh's lap on our recliner and Kylee ran up and wanted to get up too. After she is on our laps, she giggles and says "We're a family!!"

Then I was giving Josh a kiss and she says, "No!" She sits in between us and says, "He, he, he. Na, na, na, na!"

All I can say is, "What a nut!!!"

Refreshing

"The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, 'The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in Him!'" Lamentations 2:22-24

Kodak Moment

We were on our way to the store this weekend and Kylee had to bring her baby along. It was a "Kodak moment" and thankfully I had my camera with me.

Mary Poppins

Kylee and I were on our way to Lafayette this morning, when she got sick in the car (I'll spare you the details!!). Luckily, all I had to do was drop something off at my work, then it was back home we went. Now we are sitting on the couch and she is watching her absolute favorite movie, Mary Poppins. It's such a classic. Thanks to laptops, I can take advantage of Kylee's wanting to just cuddle on the couch and I can get a good amount of work done.

Biloxi

Kylee and I went with Josh to his last drill weekend. We went to the outlet mall and walked on the beach (even though it was chilly) while Josh was working. We ate at our favorite Korean restaurant while we were there. It was the best.

New Babies

About a week ago, there were two babies born on the same day from our church. We went and visited both in the hospital and took Kylee got to hold both of them, so she was rather excited.

December

I just wanted to share with you some pictures from December. My mom flew here to Louisiana on Josh's birthday (Dec. 5), and then drove up with Kylee and I to my cousin Katie's wedding in Missouri. Josh wasn't able to go because of Air Force stuff. Katie & James' wedding was beautiful, and we enjoyed the time with our family. My sister and her family were even able to come down. After the wedding, my mom and I headed up to Jefferson City to see Beth & Jason for a few days, then saw Josh's mom, dad, & sister for an evening so they could have Christmas with Kylee and finally, it was back to Louisiana for a few days. The day after Josh returned, we all flew to Reno. We had a great time in Reno with my family and were also able to spend some time with friends. We met up with my Grandpa & Grandma Wigholm on Christmas Eve at Mimi's Cafe. I am SO happy that we were able to do that because my Grandpa passed away on January 6th at the age of 92. He died in his sleep at home, so we were thankful that he didn't have to spend his last days in the hospital, etc. There is going to be a family & friends get-together in a few weeks, which all of the kids, grandkids, and a few of the great grandkids will be able to be there. Please keep our family and especially my Grandma in your prayers. Thank you so much.

After we saw my Grandma & Grandpa, we went to Grandpa & Grandma Smith's house (Josh's dad's parents) and spent Christmas Day and a couple days after there. They live on a farm, so Kylee had a lot of fun seeing the cows (there were two calves also), chickens, and the cat, and dog. We flew back here on the 28. We fit a lot in December, but had a great Christmas season filled with many memories.

Flower Girl Time

Wow, it's been a long time! After the holiday season, I think I'm finally back to blogging.

Kylee was a flower girl in a wedding right after Thanksgiving. You can never predict what a 2 year old will do in a wedding, but she performed quite well. As soon as she saw the bride, she got excited to get in her dress. Josh officiated the wedding and since there wasn't a ring bearer, they had Josh walk with Kylee down the isle. It was too much of a glimpse into the future, especially because she was in a white dress. She knew and really liked all of the wedding party, so she didn't have a problem standing up there with them. Eventually she sat down in the middle of the ceremony and started rubbing the rose petals all over her face. It was funny but very cute. At the end of the wedding, I gave her a little play camera with princesses on it. She enjoyed taking "pictures" of everyone at the reception.

There were too many pictures to put separately on here, so enjoy the slide show.
