My Mommy Vacation!

I'm on mommy vacation. Those don't happen often, but they are very relaxing. Joshua and Kylee flew out to Sacramento, CA to visit his Grandpa Gil & Grandma Esther. Josh hasn't been able to see them very much in the past couple of years, so they are having a great trip. They left on Monday and I pick them up from the airport tomorrow. I have been working (unfortunately), getting stuff done around the house, shopping (I only bought a picture so far!), reading, etc. It's been great, but it will be really nice to see them tomorrow. One thing that I haven't done is to pick up toys!!!!! I really don't mind that though. As much fun as this week has been, I'd rather have toys all over the floor and it take 8 hours to do my 5 hours of work each day, then to not have my little girl in my life. (I'm not saying that I wouldn't like a week like this again sometime in the future.) :-)

Joshua says that he has taken some pictures, so I will try to post some this weekend or next week sometime.

Fun, Fun

While cleaning out some of my stuff the other day, I found a baby doll that I had when I was younger. Kylee loved it. She wanted to change her diaper, give her a bath, put pajamas on her, and rock her to sleep. She kept saying shhhhh to her.

Last week, we met up at the park with a Nikki (I used to work with her) and her little girl Keegan. Keegan and Kylee are only about a month apart. They had fun playing with each other.

We went to the outlet mall while we were in Biloxi this last weekend for Joshua's drill weekend. Kylee was very excited to ride this horsey!!

Kylee is always wanting her daddy's glasses, so I found some for her at the store yesterday. As you can tell, she loved them.

After getting out of the shower, Kylee loves to be wrapped up in her towel. She would stay that way if I let her. I don't trust her without a diaper on to let her lay like that too long! She just lays there with her little feet crossed.

A New Swing!

And yet again, it's been another month since I blogged last. Here are some pictures that I took this past month.

Kylee and Gracie playing the piano. She is a friend from church who is only 4 months older than her. They have a lot of fun together. I was watching Gracie and when it came time for their nap, I ended up putting them down together on our bed. They laid there and bounced on the bed while laying down and were giggling together. It cracked me up and gave me a little glimpse of future sleepovers! :-) They finally went to sleep. Yea!

Kylee found the wet wipes and was pretending like they were tissues.

Wow, Kylee can fit between my desk and the wall.

That look of delight is the "Yes, I got Mommy all wet".

Bubbles are more fun when they are all over your face.

Kylee was so excited after Joshua put up her swing on our front porch. She didn't want to get out of it. Yesterday was such a nice day that she was in shorts and a tee shirt (yes, it is February, but we do live in Louisiana!).

This morning, she wanted to swing again, so I took her outside and she fell asleep while swinging. It was very cute.

Pictures from before Christmas

Here are a few pictures from Kylee's and my visit to Missouri after Thanksgiving that I forgot to post awhile ago.

It snow quite a bit the day after we got there, so that was exciting because we don't get any where we live. It was Kylee's first time to actually get to play in it some. She loved it and so did I.

My friend Kendy & I. She dropped by to see me while I was there.

Christmas Time

Wow, it's been forever since I've blogged. Our December was busy with Joshua's drill weekend, Christmas stuff at Church, and traveling home to Reno & Sacramento (& also to Castro Valley). We flew out to the west coast (Kylee's 7th plane trip!!!) and saw both of our families and quite a few friends. Here are some pictures below of our trip.

The night before we left, we had Christmas with just the 3 of us. Kylee realized how much fun it was to tear wrapping paper!

Kylee was being silly. It must have been the bow on her head! :-)

We gave her blocks. She soon realized that the quickest way to get them out was to turn the box upside down.

On the 23rd, we had Christmas with my dad's side of the family. Here is a picture of my Grandmother, my dad, me, and Kylee (4 generations).

Here is everyone that was there. The other cousins and my sister couldn't be in Reno for Christmas this year, so that was a bummer. We had a good time together.

Joshua, me, Dad, Mom, & Kylee on Christmas Eve.

We went to Sacramento with my parents and spent Christmas Day with Joshua's family (his parents and sister were there also). Here is a picture of Kylee taking a ride on Grandpa Gill's chariot!!

Joshua's mom with Kylee (she has one of Joshua's uncle's hats on)

Here is another 4 generation picture that we took that was kinda fun to do. Grandpa Gill, Dan, Joshua, & Kylee.

After we left Sacramento, we headed down to the bay area to Castro Valley and spent the evening and night with my mom's parents. We had dinner and then opened Christmas gifts. Kylee was quite ok with staying up and opening more gifts with Grandpa & Grandma Wigholm.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving holiday. Joshua's parents and sister came down from Iowa and we spent the day at Joshua's Uncle Bruce & Aunt Jeanette's house. I think there were about 40+ people there maybe. Joshua's cousin Cassie got married on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, so most of the time after that was spent helping them get ready for the wedding.

Here is a picture of Kylee that I took one day when she was having fun on our couch.

The pictures below are at Cassie & Grant's wedding.

Kylee

Kylee and I rode back up to Iowa with Dan & Joanna and spent a few days there. Joshua had to work and also had to go to his drill weekend, so he wasn't able to come with us. :-( While we were there, my sister and nephew DJ came down to see us. That evening, Kylee got tired so I put her up next to my sister (she was tired too because she is pregnant!) and Kylee just cuddled up next to her and went to sleep. It was really cute.

After we were at Dan & Joanna's, we went and saw Beth & Jason in Jefferson City for a few days. I will try to get some pictures up soon from that part of the trip.

Trunk or Treat

Last Sunday night, we had "Trunk of Treat" at church. They had food, games, and then people had decorated their trunks and passed out candy to the kids as they walked around. It was pretty cool. Some people got really creative. Joshua wore his Air Force BDU's (camouflage) and decorated his car like a cave. The kids couldn't see him very well because it was pretty dark outside, so they weren't too sure about
sticking their hand in for candy!! We had 80 visitors at church that night that came for the Trunk or Treat, so that was really good.

I had ordered a St. Louis Ram's Cheerleading outfit off of Ebay for Kylee to wear. The guy sent it out right away and it was suppose to get her on Saturday, but it didn't arrive until today. So, Sunday afternoon, I called my sister and she helped me put together a outfit with stuff she already had plus some felt I bought. So, Kylee ended up being a very cute Minnie Mouse. She did not want the ears on, but oh well. I am going to take some pictures of her in her cheerleading outfit since we have it now, and I will post them to the blog site. It is really cute and will be super cute on her!

The other day I put one of our floor pillows on the floor and laid down on it. Kylee thought that looked like fun and came and joined me. It was sweet. Luckly Joshua was home and took a picture.

Fun in the Fall

I must be on some blogging streak or something. It is a beautiful day out today. It's actually feeling more like fall than summer, at least for the moment. It could go back to feeling like summer tomorrow!!

There is this kitty that started coming around our house the past couple of weeks. The kitty and Kylee like to play when Kylee is outside.

We went to a pumpkin patch with my MOPS group. They had pictures, movie, snacks & story time, hay maze (the picture above), animals, and a hay ride. We had a good time.

Kelsey & Kylee playing with some of the small pumpkins. I couldn't get both of them to look at the camera at the same time!

Here is Kylee with some of the big pumpkins. She was too interested in the pumpkins to look up for a picture.

Yesterday we went to the Rice Festival that they have here in Crowley every year. Here is Kylee with one of her favorite people, Mallory. They were sliding on one of the fun jumps.
